Virtual Home Visit
Virtual Home Visits
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year, it is not possible for us to organise home visits. Therefore we would like to offer you a short virtual visit via Zoom. We hope this will enable us to initiate and build strong home/school relationships. By forging good communication links and tailored support, we hope to create long lasting partnerships between home and King's Sutton Primary Academy.
We recognise that such partnerships are central to the education and welfare of your child, and we aim to personalise relationships with parents and carers to ensure this transition - the beginning of your child's school life, is the very best experience it can be.
The zoom visit will include an initial ten minutes when Mrs Dale will play a bingo game with your child based on a story which she will read to them.
You can download your bingo sheets here
Your child may also like to share some favourite toys or a suitable activity that they have been doing. The last five minutes of the visit can be used by parents to have a conversation with Mrs Dale to share information or discuss any starting school concerns. However, if more time is needed, a second meeting or phone call can be arranged. Please contact Nikki Ward for further assistance.

During the virtual visit we aim to:
- Introduce ourselves to the parents, guardians and carers of the child, offering the opportunity to answer questions about the start of their child's school journey.
- Support the child in developing confident relationships with staff from the very beginning, by having individual time with their new teacher.
- Provide an opportunity for parents to discuss the specific needs of their child.
