HATS AND WATER BOTTLES:
As the hot weather continues we would like to remind you that children MUST have a sun hat and water bottle in school at all times.
During this prolonged period of unusually hot weather, which is forecast to stay with us for at least the next two weeks, we want to continue encouraging the children to drink as much and as often as possible. If your child does not enjoy drinking water, you may provide them with a drinks bottle containing diluted squash if you feel that this will encourage them to drink more. Please be aware that drinks bottles that have contained squash will need to be taken home and washed every day. Unfortunately, we are not able to refill with squash but there is a good supply of drinking water in the school which bottles can be refilled with. If you are sending bottles of squash into school, please be particularly mindful of not putting them in book bags as leaking sweet drinks will cause permanent damage to school books. If you prefer your child to have only water in class, we are happy to help fill and refill bottles as often as necessary.
Please ensure that your child has sufficient sun cream applied (and also a top up) with them tomorrow as they will be outside for a little longer than usual.
Children can come to school in their PE kits and Mr Peters has confirmed that KS1 children may go home with parents at lunchtime should they wish. PLEASE NOTE: Children MUST be signed out with their class teacher before they are taken off site. Thank you.
